My friend Mary and I went to "A Night at the USO" sponsored by the Mifflin County Historical Society. It was a night of big band music from the 40s, along with tap dancers and a real-life USO entertainer. He did impersonations of various singers and also threw in some comedy. We had the best time and went out to Red's Diner before the show. It was nice to take a sentimental journey with Mary. The night ended with "I'll Be Seeing You," which was one of my favorites. Oh, there was a veteran there who was in the first wave of troops to land at Normandy. What amazing living history!
