On Sunday, May 31st, Sarah publicly professed her faith in Christ in the service of Confirmation/Affirmation of Baptism. She is now seen as an adult within the church. Sarah, along with the other Sarah, Justin, Mariah, Kyle and Caleb had to take 2 years of classes leading up to this event. It was a bittersweet day for them as Ashley Bender would have celebrated this milestone with them. They presented a basket of flowers in her memory. Sarah chose this verse from Ephesians 3:19, which is the same verse we read to her when we presented her bible to her: "May you be able to feel and understand, as all God's children should, how long, how wide, how deep and how high His love really is; and to experience this love for yourself, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself."
